Our story

Honest help for the dogs and cats who run our lives.

Animal Nature World is a warm, friendly place for dog and cat people. We do the research and we keep it honest. We will not call a product wonderful just because someone is paying us to, and we will not fake enthusiasm we do not actually feel.

Why we are here

So much of the pet content online is built to sell you something, and some of it is built to scare you. You type in one simple question and come away convinced your dog is doomed and you need a shopping cart full of gadgets to save him. We wanted to make the opposite of that. A calm, friendly place where the advice is practical and the recommendations are honest, even when honest is a little boring.

We intentionally focus on cats and dogs, despite there being a world of amazing pets we could work with. We would rather dig deep into the two we know best than spread ourselves thin and potentially get things wrong.

🐶

We do the digging

Every guide draws from real research, veterinary and behavioral sources, and the actual experiences of owners. Not vibes.

🌿

We stay honest

We value your trust over any sale and will let you know if any of the offerings are overpriced, or even just not worth the hype.

🐱

We keep it kind

There are no fears, guilt, or judgment here. We offer kind support to those who get how much these creatures mean to you.

Who is behind this

Nora Bennett at home with her cats
Nora at home, surrounded by the usual crew.

Nora Bennett is the founder and lead writer of Animal Nature World. She has spent her whole life around dogs and cats, fostering and fumbling and falling for far too many of them along the way. She started this site because so much pet content felt like it was built to scare you or sell you something, and she wanted to make the honest, friendly version instead. Nora is not a veterinarian. She is the person who reads the research, talks to the experts, and digs through real owner reviews so the advice here stays grounded and kind.

One important thing. We are writers and researchers, not veterinarians. Everything here is meant to inform and help, and it is never a replacement for your own vet. When something feels off with your animal, please reach out to a professional who can actually see them.
