Careers at Animal Nature World
Help us make the honest version of pet content.
As a small and independent team, we try to create the pet site we always wanted to exist. A site that does the research, tells the truth, and respects dogs and cats like the family members they are. If that sounds appealing to you, we would love to talk to you.
Why this place
We are not a content farm, nor do we want to be one. Each guide we put together is based on thorough research against veterinary and behavioral sources, written to truly help, and read carefully before it goes live. We care more about being right and being kind than being first or being loud. If you have ever been let down by pet content that exists just to sell or to scare, you already understand what we are trying to do.
Open roles
Editor
Remote · Part time to start
As our editor, you would shape the voice of the site, edit and fact check the work of our writers, and make sure every piece meets our standard for accuracy and warmth. You care about clarity, you can spot a claim that has been overstated, and you believe an editor is there to protect the reader.
What we are looking for
- Experience editing health, science, or lifestyle content
- Comfort checking claims against credible, expert sources
- A calm and kind editing style that lifts a writer up
Contributing Writer, Dogs and Cats
Remote · Freelance, per piece
As a contributing writer, you would look into the questions owners actually have and create guides that help them. You know how to take a mountain of material and turn it into something clear and genuinely useful, and you write like a human being, not a pamphlet.
What we are looking for
- Strong research habits and a love of getting it right
- A warm, plain writing voice with no fluff
- Real life experience living with dogs or cats
Veterinary or Behavioral Advisor
Remote · A few hours a month
As an advisor, you would be a veterinarian, a vet tech, or a certified behavior professional who is willing to review our content for accuracy and flag anything that needs a second look. Your name and your credentials would sit proudly on the work you review.
What we are looking for
- A current veterinary or behavior credential
- A commitment to honest, evidence based guidance
- Willingness to put your name on the work you review
What we look for in everyone

Kind
You write to help, never to scare or to shame.
One honest note. We are a small team, so we read every application ourselves and it may take us a little while to reply. We do not use scary deadlines or fake urgency, and we will never ask you to do a pile of unpaid work to be considered.
How to apply
