Cassidy Mentzer is the founder and lead writer of Animal Nature World. She has spent her whole life around dogs and cats, fostering and fumbling and falling for far too many of them along the way. These days her house is run by two Golden Doodles, Ravi and Scooby Boy, who supervise every article she writes. She started this site because so much pet content felt like it was built to scare you or sell you something, and she wanted to make the honest, friendly version instead. Cassidy is not a veterinarian. She is the person who reads the research, talks to the experts, and digs through real owner reviews so the advice here stays grounded and kind.
